Essential grossing tools for complete standardization of the grossing process

Achieve new levels of accuracy and total ease with Tissue-Tek^® Accu-Edge^® Grossing Tools, specially developed to ensure complete standardization of the grossing process. Consistent and standardized grossing ensures specimens are of exact uniform thickness throughout.

These grossing tools include specially designed Grossing Boards available in two sizes—standard and wells—to accommodate a wide range of tissue types. Both sizes feature two adjustable wells that ensure grossing to an exact thickness.  The wells can be individually adjusted from 1.5 to 3.0 mm, using the gauges.  Integrated rulers on the standard board enable gross measurement of specimens.

Tissue-Tek^® Accu-Edge^® Grossing Boards can be used as a stand-alone grossing area or on your current grossing station. 

The Tissue-Tek Accu-Edge Grossing Tools product line also includes three Grossing Forks designed to easily gross difficult specimens including skin, arterial, colon and specimens with layers, while maintaining perfect specimen form and integrity. Each fork is designed with two sets of sharp tines, separated by a space measuring 1.5, 2.0, or 2.5 mm. Tissue-Tek^® Accu-Edge^® Grossing Forks hold the tissue in place while sliding a trimming or scalpel blade against the outer surfaces of the fork, resulting in a section of the desired thickness between the tines. 

In addition, Tissue-Tek^® Accu-Edge^® Trimming Knives and Scalpel Blades provide the sharp cuts necessary for exact grossing techniques.

A set of Tissue-Tek Accu-Edge Grossing Tools comes standard with the Tissue-Tek Xpress^® xSeries Rapid Tissue Processor. When used together, these grossing instruments & accessories ensure standardized tissue processing results for accurate diagnosis.
