The Tissue-Tek Prisma^® H&E Stain Kit #1 is the first and only H&E stain kit designed specifically for the Prisma line of stainers.  Tracking the identification of kits and their components is made easy on the Prisma Plus using the Prisma Barcode Reader. The H&E Stain Kit comes with a validated staining protocol to provide you with slide to slide reproducibility from the first to last slide. The H&E Stain Kit also comes with an adjustable protocol that you can edit to define your desired stain! Speed up the validation of your H&E protocol and leverage the web-based Prisma Stain Grid service that helps you determine the best matching stain times for hematoxylin and eosin.

All reagents of the Hematoxylin and Eosin Kit come ready-to-use in bottles and eliminate the need to filter, measure or dilute. The H&E Stain Kit was designed and is produced to maintain the highest quality stain for up to 2,500 slides or 8 days, further reducing reagent exchanges to save your laboratory time and money. The Stain Kit passes a rigorous QC-test that assures lot-to-lot stain consistency. Only dyes certified by the Biological Stain Commission are used in the manufacturing process, ensuring highest quality components.

This H&E Stain Kit is specifically filled for Prisma reservoirs to provide the exact volume to stain 2,500 slides. The patented bottles are custom-designed for best convenience and highest safety. They provide ergonomic grips and wide bottle opening to reduce spill risk and enable fast and splash-free filling of the solution reservoir. The color-coded labels and caps match the colors of the solution configuration of the Prisma Plus screen and help you avoid filling and reagent loading errors.

The Hematoxylin & Eosin stain kit and its components are barcoded to enable scanning of their lot numbers and expiration dates for convenient documentation.  The new barcode reader enables linking a basket of patient slides to a specific Stain Kit lot number and stain protocol easier.  Up to 1,000 barcodes can be saved on the Prisma Plus stainer to support you complying with laboratory accreditation requirements.
