Minimizing slide labeling errors in your laboratory has now become easier. The Tissue-Tek® SmartWrite® Slide Printer provides fast on-demand high resolution alpha numeric and 1D/2D barcode printing with a footprint small enough to fit next to the microtome.
The Tissue-Tek® SmartWrite® Slide Printer is a high resolution thermal transfer printer designed for on-demand slide label printing of black or color identifiers directly onto microscope slides for use in pathology and cytology laboratories. The slide printer’s uniquely formulated thermal ink provides easy to read printing that is chemically resistant and smudge proof when dry. The high resolution (300 dpi) makes it possible for the microscope slide label printer to print alphanumeric characters, as well as 1D and 2D barcodes and graphics.

Easy slide loading and exchanging of slide holders
Easy‐to‐load slide holders can hold up to 100 standard microscope slides. Pre‐loaded slide holders with different slide types (charged/ uncharged) can be easily exchanged in seconds, enabling efficient workflow. The level of slides remaining is clearly visible through the backlit transparent slide holder.

Tissue‐Tek® SmartWrite® Software solution for template design, printer management and LIS integration. Users can quickly adhere to CAP & NSH guidelines1 and design and manage custom cassette print templates, create 1D and 2D barcodes, graphics and logos.

Black or color print option; with easy cartridge replacement
Black or color print ribbon cartridges allows up to 5,000 prints (black) or 1,000 prints (color). Color printing eliminates inventory requirements for multi‐colored slides. Print cartridges are easily replaced in seconds.
Optimized and validated Tissue‐Tek SmartWrite slides
Developed and optimized for the SmartWrite Slide Printer, Tissue‐Tek SmartWrite White Frosted charged and uncharged slides undergo a thorough manufacturing process for best printing experience. Clipped corner slides also provide for best mechanical performance when used on the SmartWrite Slide
Printer.
Charged slides are processed to provide a uniform coating of positive charge across the entire slide for best section adhesion. Slides are conveniently packaged 100 per box for easy loading into the slide holder.
