Automated scanning
Scan and cross-check processing protocols and automatically detect duplicate and unreadable barcodes of up to 150 cassettes in less than 40 seconds.
Redefining cassette tracking with cross-check
The Tissue-Tek® X-CHEQ™ C (Cross-Check C) is designed to revolutionize laboratory safety, efficiency, and accuracy by eliminating the “black holes” in tracking tissue cassettes when sent between locations or before tissue processing. With its small footprint and simple user interface, the X-CHEQ C can be used in laboratories of any type and size that want to harness the power of tracking and tracing barcoded cassettes.
The Tissue-Tek X-CHEQ C is the first and only automated cassette tracking system that can cross-check cassettes at the individual cassette level with assigned tissue processing protocols in the Laboratory Information System (LIS) to reduce risks at processing. The X-CHEQ C also automatically checks every cassette in the scan for duplicate or unreadable barcodes, further reducing risks and rework while enhancing overall laboratory safety and reliability. The X-CHEQ C was designed with user safety in mind as well. With an onboard fan and filter system, the X-CHEQ C pulls hazardous formalin fumes away from the user during scanning.
Safety is extremely important, but so is efficiency and functionality. The X-CHEQ C can scan a full processor basket of up to 150 cassettes in just 40 seconds, drastically reducing manual scanning time and labor. The device is also fully compatible with Tissue-Tek® 20-Cassette Magazine options and can scan up to four (4) magazines simultaneously. The X-CHEQ C captures a full-color, high-resolution image during scanning and is the first and only automated cassette tracking system to automatically detect and track cassettes by color, enabling laboratories to easily and quickly identify and search for priority cassettes.
The Tissue-Tek X-CHEQ C Server Software provides scan results for connection to the LIS, ensuring data accuracy and easy access across platforms. The network-installed software requires no outside internet connections, so all data is fully protected by the laboratory’s cyber security protocols. This also enables the reporting software to be quickly and easily accessed through any network-enabled and secure PC, whether in the laboratory or the supervisor or manager’s office. The Tissue-Tek X-CHEQ server software allows laboratories to view, search, or filter cassette scanned data, view the high-resolution images of cassette scans, or generate reports even without an LIS connection, giving laboratories quick and easy access to important scan information for data analysis or troubleshooting.
