Today, we distribute products through our three Sakura Finetek entities and over 100 distributors worldwide. The organization is developing, professionalizing and growing continuously, and thus maintaining its position as a trustworthy and valuable partner in histopathology. With the worldwide headquarters in Japan and regional offices in Japan, The Netherlands and the U.S.A., the global strategy of worldwide representation has been fulfilled to guarantee our customers the best service and support.

The Sakura Group of companies consists of two divisions; Histology and Infection Control & Sterilization. The Histology Division has market leading positions in hospital, commercial reference laboratory and life science research globally. The Infection Control & Sterilization Division has a significant market presence in hospital infection control in Japan. Our Sakura Seiki manufacturing center in Nagano, Japan and Sakura Engineering serve both Divisions.

Sakura Finetek USA, Inc. (SFA) is based in Torrance, California and employs over 200 people.  Functions covered at this facility include sales and marketing, service and technical support, R&D, and manufacturing.  In the US, SFA utilizes Cardinal Health for non-exclusive distribution to clinical laboratories and VWR International for non-exclusive distribution to life science research and industrial/education market segments.  SFA is also responsible for Canada, Mexico, Central and South America and serves these markets with a network of local distributors.  SFA is an ISO 13485 certified manufacturer and supplier.  With one of the two global manufacturing and R&D sites, SFA develops instruments and reagents into system solutions and secures the made innovation with a steady stream of patents. 

Sakura Finetek Europe (SFE) which was established in 1994, is based in Alphen aan den Rijn, The Netherlands and employs over 180 people. In addition to all of Europe, SFE is responsible for sales, marketing and service support for African, the Middle East and India. SFE utilizes direct selling units in the major EU countries and a comprehensive set of distributors elsewhere and is ISO 13485 certified.

Sakura Finetek Japan (SFJ) which was established in 2001, is based in Tokyo, Japan and employs over 150 people. SFJ is responsible for sales, marketing and service support in Japan, the rest of Asia and Australia/New Zealand. It sells direct and thorough distributors in Japan and utilizes an extensive network of distributors to service for sales outside of Japan.

Sakura Finetek Nagano is (SFN) is based in Nagano, Japan and employs over 170 people SFN is Sakura’s key R&D and Manufacturing center and is ISO 13485 certified.
